We will give you a 24 HOUR FREE TRIAL (weekdays only, not over a weekend) on a package of your choice.

After that we charge on a pay as you go basis, 3 months in advance at a time.

THE HARDWARE

CompleTV can be streamed using either a Set Top Box, or a Smart TV.

SET TOP BOX (STB)

We currently recommend you watch our TV packages using a Set Top Box made by Infomir, called a MAG box. The latest version which you can buy through us is a MAG 322 w1.  However, our system will also work with a MAG 250 or 254 if you already have one of these (*see note below).

MAG 322 W1 (with WiFi)

This is the latest, next generation MAG box after the MAG 254 and 250.

If you order a box through us, we will configure it for you with 3 months stream:

Smart TV

We have provided instructions under FAQ on how to set up your Smart TV with CompleTV. We do not currently sell or install Smart TVs.

PLEASE NOTE: You can use your existing MAG box with our system. Either a MAG 250 or MAG254 –however please note that some of the video club might not work, as the films and boxsets that are now being released are in a new format that is not supported by these older versions. You may find that the sound or picture is not available. So we do recommend you upgrade if the Video Club is important to you. Live TV is not affected (for now).

Support

To start with, in order to use our TV Service you must satisfy the following criteria:

  • You have Internet access via Fiber Optic Cable, a Fixed ADSL Broadband Line, or a High Speed 4G Router
  • You have 3MB of Speed or More (Please check this on Speedtest.net You should get a download of 2.2 or higher.)
  • You are using a MAG Set Top Box (STB) – either your own or purchased through us
  • Or you have a Smart TV

Troubleshooting other issues

Yes you know it! Re-start everything!

Your Router and your STB sometimes need a refresh.
This is your first port of call, it will fix a lot of issues.

a) Unplug the power from the back of your router, wait 10 seconds and plug it back in
b) Some routers take a while to start up, so wait until all the “on” or “green” lights are showing as normal on your router.
c) Unplug the power from your MAG box, plug it back in.

If the above doesn’t fix your problems, see below.

Not Loading /Stuck on Loading

When you start the STB/MAG it says “Loading” – if it gets stuck it means it cannot connect to the Internet at all.

a) If your STB is connected directly to the router with an Ethernet cable
Make sure both end of the Ethernet cable are properly pushed in. There should be a light on on the router that corresponds to the port on the back that the STB is connected to. If the light is not on, there is a problem with the connection. You can try replacing the Ethernet cable or trying a different port. Otherwise you will need to contact your router supplier.

b) If your STB is connected to your Router over WIFI. If you are using an external WIFI dongle (located in the back of your STB) then check it is pushed in properly. Is the WIFI working on your router (should be a light on the router which denotes the WIFI). Has your password been changed? Re-boot everything as this can help re-connect the WIFI.

No Signal/Black Screen

Check the connection from the STB to your television whether it is a HDMI lead or AV lead. Disconnect and reconnect both ends of the cable from the STB and TV. Make sure your TV is set to the correct output station. Your TV should have options to set the output mode (check your TV manual if you don´t know how to do this). Check the correct mode is selected, depending on whether you are using the AV cable that came with your STB, or an HDMI. If you continue to have problems we recommend you try a new cable to connect them. If the problem continues please contact us.

Picture Showing, No Sound

First check the volume on both the STB and your TV. If the volume is up high on both, and you still receive no sound:

If this is a problem in Video Club it could be that that particular video is not compatible if you have an older MAG box.

It could be your HDMI lead needs replacing.

If the problem continues please contact us.

Picture breaking up or Pixelating

First make sure that no computer or devices are switched on as these may take up bandwidth and cause the picture to break up. After making sure nothing else is switched on reboot the Router wait two minutes and then reboot the STB.

Please then monitor the TV quality.

If the picture quality continues to be poor, you will need to connect the Router direct to your main telephone point ie. remove any telephones, splitters or filters. Once the Router is connected restart it, and then the STB.

No Program information in Channel Guide / Channel Guide Blank

In the Channel Guide, if no programme information is showing on any of the channels (please check more than one) or you can´t view any TV show, reboot your STB. If this does not work, reboot your router, wait a few minutes until the Internet has reconnected, then reboot the STB. If this does not resolve the problem please contact us.

Catchup Not Working

If you choose a programme from the catch up guide and you receive a blank screen or a “No recording” message, please also try a different channel, then a different program, then a different day. It may be a one off, but if the same thing is happening on different channels, days and times then please contact us.

If when watching a program it stops before it has finished, again please check other programmes and channels. Please reboot your router and STB and try again. If after rebooting the problem continues, please contact us and tell us what day, time, channel and program this is happening with so that we can look into it.

Problems in Video Club with sound or picture:

Some of the video club might not work if you are using an MAG 250 or 254, as the films and boxsets that are now being released are in a new format that is not supported by these older versions. You may find that the sound or picture is not available. So we do recommend you upgrade to the latest MAG box if the Video Club is important to you. Live TV is not be affected (for now).
